Fall Issue#3
December 7, 2007
Greetings!

Many of you in the Northeast may be familiar with Michele Kreimeyer, Burgundy Hill Farm-or some of the horses listed below.

On November 27th there was a fire at Michele's barn. The barn is a total loss and 25 horses perished in the fire. 11 horses they were able to get out and some of them are currently at Cornell receiving treatment. Michele and her mother were not hurt in the fire.

Several of the horses that were lost are Empire club member's horses including:
- Katie Porta's horse Kids Bonanza Leaguer (who had Empire awards this year in Sr Working Hunter, Sr Hunter Hack, and Green Working Hunter)
- Charline Topor's horse Blue Sky Walker (who had earned an Empire award in Select Hunter Under Saddle this year)
- Christina Topor-Burns horse Coosid (who had Empire awards this year in Amateur Working Hunter and Amateur Hunter Hack)
- Anna Robson Haule lost her two horses including Ask Asset (who had earned many Empire awards for her)
- Frances Righi's horse Starriva (who had earned many awards for her)

Empire is establishing a crisis fund for Michele, if you would like to donate towards this you can send checks to:
Ed Brenkus - 5398 Ridge Chapel Rd - Marion, NY 14505
Or Gayle Farr-Moore - 7480 Alvord Rd - Stittville, NY 13469
